This years California Extreme show will be held at the San Jose Convention Centers PARKSIDE HALL, which is next to the San Jose Tech Museum, in downtown San Jose. The dates are September 30th and October 1st (Sat & Sun).
This year, we are celebrating Atari Games. We will be featuring an Atari Prototype Museum, where you can play Marble Madness II and other unreleased Atari Games. Keep checking back, as we will be adding preview pictures of some of these unique games. If you have any prototype games to lend to the show, please contact us. If you are an Atari Employee past or present, you are invited to attend for FREE!!! Just show your ATARI or MIDWAY WEST employee ID card at the door.
Earn FREE admission to the show by bringing a game from the list of Most Wanted games.
This years how will be a little different from previous shows. Due to the lack of setup time at the Convention Center, we will need to move in and out within a few short hours. In the past, we have had several weeks to prepare and arrange games. This year, we will be counting on more attendies to bring games. In the past, about 7 or 8 people have accounted for 90% of the games. This year, we would like to spread the load out, so that we can reduce the burden on those individuals.
If you have a game you would like to bring, please send an email to info@caextreme.org. We would like to keep the duplicate games to a minimum this year, so we have setup a sign up list. This list will be updated every couple days, and will show which game has been commited and who is going to bring that game. If you have a game that is not on the list, or that does not have a commited name, please email us. We would love to have your game. Please try bring your game to the hall, before 10am on the day of the show.
Tentative Show Schedule
Saturday 9/30
6:00am to noon - Setup (exhibitors and staff only)
Doors open from Noon to Midnight (possibly open later)
Sunday 10/1
Doors open from 10am to 5:00pm.
5pm to Midnight -Teardown
